Playing on Saturday in front of a crowd of mainly Queen’s Park supporters, our Premiership team captured their second title of the season by easily beating Alescon Comets, who we had previously beaten for the T20 title three week earlier at the same venue. In a rain affected game QPCC batted first and totalled 211 for 5 after 40 overs and with 25 runs added on due to the D/L system saw Comets having to make 237 for victory. They were bowled out for 154 in 33.2 overs to see the Parkites retain the title won in 2015 and add to the 50 over titles won in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. The team currently leads the Premiership League by 29 points with two rounds to be played and hope that they can achieve the treble as in 2011 and 2012.
