From its beginnings in the Queen’s Park
Savannah in 1891, the Queen’s Park Cricket
Club has grown to become the top cricket
club in Trinidad & Tobago and one of the
most respected in the world.
The Club moved to its iconic location on
Tragarete Road in 1896, where its sprawling
grounds quickly established the Oval as
one of the country's most important
sporting venues.

By 1930, QPCC hosted its first Test match
and would go on to host a further 64 Tests
and counting by 2026 — the most of any
ground in the Caribbean.
Across generations, the Club has helped
develop world-class players including
Jeffrey and Victor Stollmeyer, Deryck Murray,
Charlie and Bryan Davis, Michael ‘Joey’
Carew, Kieron Pollard, Sunil Narine,
Dwayne and Darren Bravo, Akeal Hosein
and Brian Lara.

The Queen’s Park Cricket Club in Port of
Spain is more than a sporting ground —
it is a living stage of Trinidad & Tobago’s
social and cultural story.
The Club has hosted legendary cricket
contests and sporting action while opening
its gates to Carnival fetes and calypso
tents, concerts, beauty pageants,
steelpan rehearsals and competitions,
and multi-faith religious gatherings.

This porous community space has helped
shape national identity, where the rhythms
of music and sport meet patriotism and
celebration.
As players, musicians and revellers pass
through its gates, the Club continues to
act as a platform to reflect and propel
Trinidad & Tobago’s evolving cultural
expression and collective memory.

Over the years, the Club has continued
to evolve.
Its facilities now include sporting and
training spaces, indoor cricket nets,
squash courts, a museum, a thriving table
tennis academy and pickleball, while the
Oval continues to host major football,
cricket, entertainment and cultural events.
QPCC remains a place where generations
come together and where its remarkable
legacy continues to move forward.
